When Jonnie and Yannick met in 2011, they recognized their shared passion for creating a unique and superior product – in other words,
delicious, hand-made artisan bread. Every day, they bring their own insights and talents, as they roll up their sleeves and craft BREAD
artisan bakery into place that brings joy, inspiration and fresh bread to the community.

Jonnie LoFranco

An Orange County native, Jonnie grew up with a love of sunshine, the ocean and fresh, natural food. Her father, the family gourmand, dreamed of bringing an authentic old-world artisan bread to Southern California. His vision was realized when he formed our first bakery in 1995. When he passed away, Jonnie ended her career in advertising to carry on his dream. In 2010, BREAD artisan bakery was born.

Yannick Guegan
Yannick found his true calling back in 1984, attending an after-school apprenticeship at a small bakery in Milizac, France. From these humble beginnings, Yannick dedicated ten years to learning every aspect of the bread business, from the art of the kitchen to challenges of wholesale and retail. By 1994, he was ready to bring his skill and irresistible French charm to Southern California. Today his enthusiasm for the art of bread making is as alive and inspired as it was 30 years ago.
